Otsukaresama!
Hey Photohokukukachoos,

We just came back from a spectacular Photohoku effort at Shinchimachi, Fukushima’s “We-may-as-well-celebrate-right? Festival.” Our trip included everything from tent-building to album building, from masking-tape to gaffers-tape, from beetle-hunting to frog-finding, and from corn-on-the-cob to fireworks. We made a ton of new friends, laughed our heads off (temporarily incapacitating Mijonju), made a record-breaking 52 new new photo albums, with over 500 photos on instant film alone, and gifted 17 donated cameras. Under two tents, we had a photo studio, our first “Album Cafe”, and an HQ for all the teams of photogs and assistants who worked the grounds in the blazing sun. And this is the stellar crew that made it happen, along with all our gracious sponsors and supporters. WOW!!!

A giant Fuji-san of thanks goes out to every last individual who’s hard work contributed to making this one of Photohoku’s most fun, and most productive efforts yet. Here’s to all of you!!!

(More photos coming soon!)
